About

Hello and welcome! I’m Captain Dean, a native Texan with a lifetime of Texas fishing knowledge here in Texas.

Your fishing trip here in Texas could be a backwater plunge into some of the best Snook, Redfish and Trout fishing that Texas has to offer. Then, off to some of our breathtaking beaches and islands for some more Trout, Redfish, Snook, Flounder, plus Tarpon, Cobia, Sharks, Goliath Grouper, Spanish Mackerel and other varieties. Or, we can shoot offshore and start catching our great tasting Grouper, Snapper and line ripping King Mackerel.

As an expert fishing guide, I will go above and beyond to make your day on the water the most memorable and enjoyable fishing trip for you and your family. Groups of any size can be accommodated from large corporate outings to bachelor parties, fishing charters and small sunset cruises including island hopping and lunch or dinner at one of the many waterfront restaurants here in the Texas area. With 17 years of TX charter fishing and a lifetime of experience fishing in Texas, I will give you the cutting edge excursion you’ve always dreamed of.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginning, young fisherman or an advanced angler, you are in great hands. Safety is a top priority, as a Coast Guard certified captain I am equipped with an onboard EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) that many charter captains do not provide. Do yourself a favor and make sure your Tampa fishing guide is equipped with one of these; they could save your life and are not required. This is the precise device that was needed and not onboard when the unfortunate NFL football players, Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith where lost at sea in March of 2009.

All fishing equipment is top of the line including Penn and Shimano reels, Redbone and Star fishing rods with Spiderwire Ultracast Invisi-braid, Berkely Fireline Crystal and Berkely Big Game Monofilament. The leader used is Seaguar Fluorocarbon and only the best hooks, Owner and Gamakatsu. My number one objective is to deliver the best service that the Texas fishing charters and Tarpon Springs fishing industry has to offer while providing an extremely fun, safe and exciting fish catching atmosphere. All you need to bring is your food, drinks, sunscreen and appropriate clothing depending on weather conditions. All other gear is supplied including licenses and ice.

At the end of our day when we return to the dock, all fish that can be kept will be cleaned, filleted, skinned, deboned and bagged. You may want to bring a cooler just to transport your fish home, unless you would rather visit one of our off the beaten path, local restaurants where you can take your fresh catch and have it prepared with all the Texas fixins. The Ozona Pig, Magnolia Grille and Molly Goodheads welcome customers like you who are looking to enjoy a relaxing evening in an old Texas atmosphere. See Tours and Restaurants page for more information on these amazing eateries.
